This afternoon you will meet the Operating Department Practice Course Team, who will share an overview of your course structure, the units you will be taking this year and the lecturers that will be leading these units. You will look at what to expect in the year ahead, key dates and deadlines and get some top-tips from final year students.

Preparation for teaching and learning on your course
This session outlines how you will learn and be assessed on your course. The 91ÑÇÉ«APPÏÂÔØ on-line learning platform ‘BREO’ will be introduced along with Assessment processes and what learning support is available to ensure that you Thrive and Succeed. You will also get the opportunity to meet the occupational health nurse who will inform you which health checks need to be completed to ensure you are safe for practice.

Engaging with your Course and 91ÑÇÉ«APPÏÂÔØ Networks
Engaging with your course, attendance expectations and building a network of support will be the focus of this afternoon. You will be allocated your ‘personal academic tutor’ (PAT) and introduced to our “My Engagement “ student engagement tool where you will map your learning with your PAT. We will look at wider 91ÑÇÉ«APPÏÂÔØ development opportunities and end the day with something fun and sociable.
